Pushing Boundaries in Industrial Design at Kaufland Mickleham
The centre features advanced racking systems, high-clearance warehousing, temperature-controlled zones, and integrated office spaces. With direct access to major transport corridors, the Mickleham site was strategically selected to optimise supply chain operations across Victoria and beyond.
DNM Consulting was engaged to deliver the full structural and civil engineering design for the landmark Kaufland Distribution Centre in Mickleham—the largest single distribution centre in Australia at the time of its construction.
The project demanded innovative engineering solutions to support extensive warehouse racking systems, long-span structural elements, and temperature-controlled storage areas, all while maintaining strict tolerances for floor flatness and load-bearing capacity.
