Site redeveloped to support SLRA tunnelling at Alex Fraser Clarinda.
As part of the early works for the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL), our team was engaged to deliver critical structural and civil engineering services to facilitate tunnelling operations at the Alex Fraser site in Clarinda. This complex redevelopment project involved transforming an active recycling facility to accommodate the logistical and engineering requirements of the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SLRA).
This project demonstrates our capability to manage complex site redevelopment in high-demand infrastructure environments. By aligning engineering expertise with project requirements, we helped enable one of Victoria’s most significant transport initiatives — while upholding operational continuity and long-term site functionality.
Additionally, we work across all Alex Fraser locations to redevelop sites for improved functionality, safety, and project readiness. Our team delivers tailored civil and structural engineering solutions — from earthworks and drainage upgrades to access roads and heavy vehicle infrastructure — ensuring each site meets evolving operational and environmental needs.
Alex Fraser’s new state-of-the-art asphalt plant
We are proud to have successfully completed the civil and structural works for the construction of a new asphalt plant for Alex Fraser. Our scope of work included the full delivery of civil works, encompassing site preparation, drainage, and heavy-duty pavements, along with the design and construction of reinforced concrete storage bins. These storage bins were engineered to meet the demanding load requirements of asphalt production, ensuring both durability and operational efficiency. Our team worked closely with Alex Fraser to deliver a high-quality, fit-for-purpose facility that supports their ongoing commitment to sustainable infrastructure solutions.
